GENERAL INFORMATION:
Vessel type: fiberglass bowpicker Overall length: 29’ 3” Registered length: 29’ Gross tonnage: n/a Net tonnage: n/a Beam: 9’ 10” Depth: 4’ Draft: 17” Year built: 1998 Built by: Copper River Boat Works Where built: Cordova, AK Power: single gasoline water jet Service: commercial fishing Cruising speed: 26 knots @ 4000 RPM Fuel consumption: 21 G.P.H. Stability test: none Crew: one to two
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The fishing vessel is of a bowpicker configuration and is used primarily for drift gillnetting. The hull is of molded fiberglass construction and is a planning design with a raked stem, hard chine, semi-v bottom and square transom. The cabin is located aft and is constructed of fiberglass laminate over ½” foam core. Access into the cabin is through a hinged watertight aluminum door on center of forward cabin bulkhead. To port is the helmsman station with electronic array and helmsman chair with stowage under, then single stainless steel sink with stowage under. To starboard is a dinette table secured to forward cabin bulkhead with single facing bench seat with hydraulic tank under dinette table and stowage under bench seat, then propane burner with oven, then propane cabin heater. Athwartships is two stacked berths. Access to engine compartment is by removal of engine box cover and bottom berth. Engine compartment contains propulsion engine, hydraulic pump, vessel’s batteries, electric hydraulic shift pump, and water jet. In the cabin overhead fitted to a raised combing is a molded fiberglass hatch for removal of the main propulsion engine, if needed. Secured to the aft end of the cabin on the outside is a steel propane bottle to starboard and secured to the starboard forward portion of the cabin is an aluminum propane bottle. Forward of cabin is the fish hold covered by two molded fiberglass hatches that can be set up for three brailer bags, giving it an approximate carrying capacity of 4,000 lbs. Forward of fish hold is a self-bailing well deck, on center is the gillnet drum, to starboard is the auxiliary engine, then Pacer pump, then anchor box; to port and forward is the forward helmsman station and hydraulic valves. Secured to the bow is a hydraulic bow roller.
GENERAL COMMENTS:
