GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The F/V is of typical PWS shallow draft twin screw purse seiner configuration. The hull and cabin are of fiberglass constructions and the wheelhouse is aluminum. The vessel has a raked bow, v-bottom, hard chine and square transom. The vessels two fisholds are located amidships. The forward hold easily packs 35,000 lbs of salmon in rsw and the aft “Sunday Hold” packs approximately 12,000 lbs of salmon which can be chilled in rsw by opening a watertight hatch between the two fisholds. The cabin with wheelhouse atop are located just forward of the fishold and the lazarette, housing the fuel and water tanks, is just aft of the aft fishold. The vessels self bailing working deck runs from the aft exterior of the cabin over the fisholds to the stern of the vessel. The vessel is rigged for seining with a purse winch, davit, mast, main boom and two picking booms all outfitted with hydraulic winches necessary for seining. The vessels cabin is well laid out with an enclosed head with turbo flush toilet, shower and sink; galley & table, a helm station and ample stowage. Four crew berths are located forward in the foc’s’ole and a captain’s stateroom is just aft of the crew berths below the cabin sole. The vessels twin propulsion engines are located below the cabin sole – aft, as is one auxiliary engine/generator. A second auxiliary engine/generator is located under the cabin sole – forward. The wheelhouse is located atop the cabin and contains the vessels primary electronic and control stations.
GENERAL COMMENTS:
The vessels main propulsion engines were replaced with new in 2011 and her auxiliary engines/generators were replaced with new in 2009. The rsw system was replaced with new in 2009. The hydraulic pumps were rebuilt in 2012. The vessel shows pride of ownership and appears to be sound and watertight in her hull and deck.
