GENERAL VESSEL DESCRIPTION and LAYOUT:
The is a diesel single engine vessel with a molded fiberglass hull with a raked stem, semi- vee full keel bottom, hard chine’s with 20’ x 10½” rolling chocks, curved stern, aluminum reinforced bulwarks, cabin forward with pilothouse, navigation mast with fish hold amidships and flush self-bailing open work deck aft. This vessel is rigged as a Tender; at the bow first are the anchor roller, anchor, mooring cleats, and Hydraulic anchor winch mounted to the fore deck. The walkways lead aft port and starboard to the main deck with ¾” aluminum safety handrails on the sides of the cabin. A ladder from port aft of the main cabin and thru the interior accesses the aluminum pilothouse. The pilothouse is accessed from port and starboard sides of the pilothouse and through the main cabin thru a companionway with stairs from the centerline of the main cabin. Next to the port across the back of the pilothouse is a day bunk with drawers and storage underneath. Next forward main helm with hydraulic helm with jog control, engine controls, electronics, alarms and electrical panels. To the port and starboard sides exterior are steering stations with jog controls and engine controls a stairway down to the main cabin. The pilothouse is interior is finished with vinyl sole, wood cabinets with wood trim, vinyl cushions, and rubber framed safety glass windows and watertight aluminum doors. A 5” aluminum pipe mast is mounted to the aft cabin bulkhead and cabin lid, with 2 ½”aluminum fore braces mounted forward to the cabin lid. Mast supports an aluminum main boom and picking boom. Mast has cross supports for antennas, radar dome, lights and a 16” hydraulic line hauler for pursing attached to the mast The cabin is entered by a wood Dutch door with window from amidships aft. To the port of entry is an enclosed head with electric marine toilet with holding tank and y-valve, stainless sink and shower. Next forward to the port is a small galley table with chairs. Next to the starboard and forward is a galley table with fore/ aft seating for four with storage space under the bench seats. Next forward to the starboard is the galley area with a Magic Chef 120-volt side by side refrigerator/ freezer and a Americana 4-burner LP gas stove top/oven mounted to the forward galley bulkhead. A Formica counter top with double stainless sinks, cupboards and drawers runs down the starboard side of the galley, with a microwave oven mounted above the aft counter. Next forward to the port and centerline are open companionways. Centerline companionway up four stairs is the pilothouse helm with to the port a pilot’s seat, full engine controls, instruments, gauges, DC/AC magnetic breaker panels, and various electronics. To the port from the galley level is an open companionway; taking eight steps down and contains to port of entry amidships is a Dickinson Newport LP gas cabin heater, fuel supplied by new 20-gal LP gas tank mounted to the aft cabin exterior bulkhead. Next forward at the bow are four bunks with storage under the bottom bunks and an ventilation/ escape hatch from the forecastle. Under the forecastle sole in the bow is a 30-gallon aluminum water tank. Next aft to the starboard is a storage closet, next aft is a storage area with tool boxes, aluminum hydraulic tank, batteries, battery switches, hot water heater, fresh water pump and automatic CO2 system for the engine room. Next aft centerline is access to the engine room through sliding wood door. The engine room contains the main engine, house power auxiliary generator port forward, fuel day tank port aft, RSW system and RSW auxiliary generator are to the starboard, hydraulics, pumps, reservoirs, bilge pumps and bilge alarm. The vessel interior is finished with a carpeted sole, wood panel overhead and bulkheads, with Formica counters, wood cabinets, and trim with rubber framed safety glass windows.
On the aft cabin bulkhead from centerline is the cabin entry door and aluminum pipe mast centerline with muffler / exhaust housing amidships cabin lid and engine room air vents port and starboard sides of the main cabin with air restriction flaps built into the air vents. The aft work deck is encompassed with fiberglass and aluminum bulwarks at 30” high. Next aft is the main hold with insulated fiberglass hatch cover and 15-ton RSW system and next aft is the Sunday hold with aluminum watertight deck hatch for access. Holds are insulated, skinned with fiberglass, coated with gel and plumbed for RSW. Next the aft cockpit/work area with self-bailing deck. Next aft is a aluminum watertight flush deck hatch leading to the lazaret. The lazaret contains the fuel tanks, steering gear, rudder quadrant and stuffing box, one bilge pump with a float and a bilge alarm.
