This is a fiberglass hull constructed of apparent good and adequate scantling by Ocean Marine Co. LTD. As an Ocean Alexander 42 at Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1988. The vessel has one deck, one navigation mast, curved stem, hard chine planning hull, transom stern, flybridge, cabin midships and forward, open deck aft.
The self-bailing Teak overlaid aft deck is surrounded by 30” bulwarks with downrigger mounts port and starboard and contains to starboard aft a hinged fiberglass boarding door, to midships a flush deck hatch to the lazaret containing steering appertances and Hurricane II oil fired boiler, to port and starboard are lockers fit with hinged doors, the overhead is fit with a fiberglass weather cover supported by polished stainless steel pipe, to port and starboard forward are steps to the foredeck walkways. The Stern is fit with a 36” deep full width fiberglass swin/dive step with stainless steel access ladder.
The foredeck is accessed by walkways port and starboard of the cabin, is surrounded by 29” high single tiered liferails of stainless steel pipe and contains the anchor, rode, electric anchor wildcat/captain, stainless steel bow roller and 24” x 24” Bomar scuttle hatch to the forepeck.
The flying bridge is accessed by inclined stainless steel ladder from starboard aft and contains port aft atop the weather deck a Olson MFG articulating davit, next forward cushioned passenger bench seating with stowage locker beneath containing two aluminum propane cylinders with electric activations solenoid, to starboard a cushioned passenger seat with stowage locker beneath, to midships and port single pedestal mounted Todd seats, forward a full width console with helm, compass, full engine controls, lockers, VHF radio and various electronics. The flybridge is fit with a fiberglass weather cover and Isinglass & canvas surround supported by polished stainless steel pipe, at midships forward a Seaview window with windscreen wiper.
The cabin is entered by two sliding wood framed glass doors from midships aft and contains from port aft and end table and lamp, next L-shaped cushioned seating with stowage lockers beneath and settee, next forward the galley area with countertop and cupboard spaces. Sunbeam microwave over, Norcold under counter refrigerator/freezer, double basin stainless steel sink and Force 10 three burner propane fired range/oven with Zintex #C-1 gas control, from starboard aft a love seat, next a U-Line ice maker, with cabinet containing a single basin stainless steel sing and side bar beverage dispenser, next a Norcold under-counter refrigerator/freezer, next forward the helm with Meridian Yachts seat, full engine controls, gauges, instruments and various electronics. Hatches in sole provide access to the engine machinery spaces.
The trunk cabin is accessed via steps down from the main cabin and contains to port a quarter berth with two single berths, lockers and drawers, to starboard an enclosed head with Techma electric toilet, molded fiberglass sink with vanity and shower stall.
The forepeak is accessed by wood door midships forward in the trunk cabin and contains the inverter and house batteries with door aft accessing the engine compartment.
The vessel interior is finished with a Teak parquet wood sole, acoustic vinyl overhead, wood paneled bulkheads and painted aluminum framed windows with stainless steel portlights.
