Engine Bedding: S"Wx9"H fir beam stringer w/ ½" steel angle bolted to mount
This is a shallow draft commercial fishing vessel that engages in Pacific Cod jig and Salmon set net fishing outside of Sand Point located in the south side of the Alaska Peninsula and Shumagin Islands.
The hull and cabin is constructed of molded fiberglass. It has a raked stem, flared bow, round bottom with horseshoe stern. The decks are fir frame with marine plywood decking laminated with fiberglass. There are three bulkheads that are constructed of marine plywood fabricated with fiberglass. The engine is mounted on fir beams in the engine compartment on center. This vessel has the cabin forward and open deck aft Crew quarters are located in the fo'c'sle, there are berths and some storage. The main cabin houses the galley with stove, sink, galley table and counter with storage. The wheelhouse is here with helm, helm seat, engine controls, engine instrument panel and compass. Access to the cabin is starboard aft through a non-watertight plywood door. Beneath the floor in the cabin is the engine compartment with the main engine on center. Hydraulics, fuel filters, bilge pump, and battery are located here. Aft of the engine compartment is the fish hold which is accessed from the deck. In the fish hold is the stuffing box and access hatch. Aft of the fish hold is the lazarette with steering ram and fuel tanks. On the forward section of the vessel is an open deck with a cathead on the bow with anchor, chain and line. Along each side of the cabin is a walkway to aft of cabin. Here is the freestanding mast and exhaust cowling with louvered air vent. The mast has an aluminum boom fastened to the mast. Aft of this are rail splash guards that go from the cabin aft around the stern. The fish hold with hatch covers is aft of the cabin and the Iazarette is aft of this in a cockpit with an access hatch. On the stern transom is a stainless steel fairlead.
Deck drain scuppers are at the port and starboard stern.
This vessel has been maintained in the interior and exterior with normal wear and tear. All thru hull fittings were in good condition with working valves; engine hoses and belts were in good working condition.
