GENERAL VESSEL DESCRIPTION and LAYOUT:
The F/V is a diesel twin engine LCM 6 that has been converted into a Commercial Tender for Salmon and Roe Herring. Vessel has a welded steel hull w/ a raked square/ shovel bow w/ flat bottom and straight sides w/ hard chine’s and flat stern. The main cabin and enclosed pilothouse are aft w/ open self-bailing work deck forward enclosed w/ steel bulwarks and safety railing, fish hold aft w/ storage hold amidships and RSW/ machinery compartment in the bow. At the bow first is the anchor, anchor roller mounted to the bow, steel pipe mooring cleats and hydraulic anchor winch mounted to the lid of the RSW/ bow compartment. The bow foredeck is encompassed w/ 36” high steel 3" pipe and has a steel 1" pipe light arch mounted to the top of the railing. Next aft of anchor winch is a hinged aluminum hatch that accesses the RSW/ bow compartment. Bow/ RSW compartment contains 18-ton RSW system, sea chest for circulation and condenser pumps, fire extinguisher and DC high water alarm in the bilge.
Next looking aft and stepping down there is a self-bailing steel main deck w/ 36” high steel bulwarks and steel 3" pipe railing encompassing the vessel bow to stern. Next aft is storage hold w/ raised hatch coaming and is covered w/ two ¼” aluminum hatch covers and is used for storage only. Next aft is the aft fish hold, fish holds has raised hatch coaming and is covered w/ three ¼” aluminum hatch covers and is spray foam insulated, coated w/ food grade urethane coating and plumbed for tank circulation and RSW; forward storage hold is spray foam insulated, coated w/ food grade urethane coating and plumbed for tank circulation. Mounted to the deck centerline between holds is a articulating hydraulic deck, deck crane is used for unloading salmon brailers from commercial fishing boats.
Next aft is the cabin/ pilothouse entered through aluminum water tight doors w/ windows from starboard side forward and centerline aft. To starboard of entry aft is an enclosed head w/ electric marine toilet and shower. Next forward to the starboard is the galley area w/ Formica counter, electric range w/oven, stainless sink w/ cabinets. Port aft is the messing area w/ table and bench seating w/ storage underneath seats. To the port recessed into the wall is a refrigerator/freezer with microwave oven overhead. Next forward centerline is a hydraulic helm w/ DC 12-volt electric jog steering and engine controls to the starboard side w/ instruments, AC and DC distribution panels, alarm panel for engines, bilge high water alarms, electronics and navigational compass. A bench seat is aft of the dash w/ DC 12-volt house batteries, AC/ DC battery charger inside the seat w/ AC electric forced air cabin heater recessed into the side. The sleeping quarters are accessed through a hatch in the cabin sole centerline forward. The crew's quarters contain two tiered bunks port and starboard sides w/ electrical panels, hot water heater, fresh water pump, bilge pump, fire extinguisher and bilge high water alarm. The engine room is accessed through a hatch in the cabin sole and contains the propulsion engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electric panels, fire extinguisher, tools, fuel tanks, water tank, fuel filters, starting batteries, propeller shaft seals, DC/ AC bilge pumps and DC 12-volt bilge alarm.
