VESSEL DESCRIPTION
The fishing vessel is a typical modern Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft, flush deck fish hold midship, and a self-bailing deck forward. At the bow is a Webber Marine power roller. To port is the outside aluminum helm station with controls and hydraulic valves. Aft, off center to starboard on work deck is the gillnet reel with anchor locker to port of reel. Aft of reel is the flush deck fish hold with jelly fish grate and an entry door cut into port bulwark just port of fish holds. Aft of the fish hold is an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum water tight door at centerline.
Under deck, the vessel is separated by five bulkheads. The most forward three bulkheads make up the void under the work deck that is accessed by a Freeman hatch in deck, houses the Pacer pump and is drained aft to engine room. Aft of the third bulkhead is the forward fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drained by center sump. Aft of the fourth bulkhead is the aft fish hold, accessed by one hinged aluminum hatch and drained by center sump. Aft of the fifth bulkhead is the engine room. Engine room houses the main engines, waterjets, batteries, and drained by Rule 2000 bilge pump. Access to the engine room is through cabin sole and bottom bunk.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight aluminum door. Cabin is finished in marine carpet, Zolotone-painted aluminum, and FRP panels overhead. To forward port is helm station with controls, electronics, and 12-volt breaker switches. Aft of helm station and Captain’s seat is aluminum cabinetry with stove/oven and countertop with storage drawers. Aft, athwartship along cabin stern, is two bunk style berths. To starboard of berths is an enclosed head with marine toilet and sink. Forward the head is aluminum counter with recessed sink and refrigerator underneath. Forward that is the settee with countertop table and a forward-facing bench seat.
