GENERAL DESCRIPTION / ACCESS & ARRANGEMENT:
The vessel is a conventionally styled uninspected commercial gill netter constructed of FRP. The vessel was built in 1989 by Copper River Boat Repair & Bob Ladd Marine Carpentry in Cordova, Alaska. Her Hull I.D. is CQH00235L988 and her present dimensions are reported to be L.O.A. 28’2”, her Registered Length is 26.0′, Breadth is 10.0′, Beam is 9’5” forward of the fish hold deck, her Depth is 4.5′ and her Draft is 14”. She has a raked and slightly flared bow, a sharp forefoot and planning type hull with a flat transom stern. The vessel uses a bow picker configuration and has a large open foredeck with the hydraulic net reel and level wind center
deck and forward of the fully transverse fish hold. Aft of the fish hold is the cabin’s access door and on the foredeck to starboard of the net reel is the hydraulic Pacer pump and Honda hydraulic power pack. To port is the secondary helm station and forward on center is the net roller. The wash down hose & manifold atop the horizontal roller are used to wash the net when it’s retrieved with the catch. The main cabin is aft of the foredeck and the mounted fishing gear, the galley stove and table are to starboard and the main helm is forward to port. The vessel electronics are mounted overhead and aft of the mounted hydraulic helm chair. A stacked berth is aft and fully transverse and overhead in the ceiling is a large hatch used to remove/reinstall the main engine so major interior work would not have to be conducted. The Plan B uses a nearly new Marine Power 496 cu.in.V-8 cylinder Chevrolet engine that produces 390 hp at an estimated 5200 rpm and drives a Hamilton model 1031 jet drive with a cast aluminum reverse bucket. The engine compartment is located under the aft transverse berth and the batteries and other vessel equipment, pumps and related items are also located in this area. The vessel hull and superstructure are white gel coat, light blue and black trim and stripes are painted around the house and black anti-fouling paint coats on the bottom. The helm, which has good 320° visibility from the helm chair, is roomy for a vessel of this size and service. Generally, the Plan B shows normal to moderate wear and tear for its age and service. Although she appears to be well cared for, the housekeeping should be addressed At the time of survey, the vessel was in the process of winterization and some testing and maintenance was being performed on the general vessel systems.
Price: $30,000 Includes: Double Axle Trailer, One Flats Net, Spare Impeller
