GENERAL VESSEL DESCRIPTION and LAYOUT:
The fishing vessel is a twin-engine gas powered vessel w/ Hamilton HJ 213 water jets. The aluminum hull has a raked stem with a slight vee, hard chine planning bottom. The stern has aluminum dual ram 12VDC electric trim tabs mounted port and starboard under the water jet units. Mounted to the stern is a 2 ½” aluminum pipe guard/ step to protect the jet units with aluminum pipe hand railing welded to the aft cabin bulkhead. Main cabin is aft, fish hold amidships with self-bailing open work deck forward encompassed in 30″ aluminum bulwarks. Vessel is
divided into three compartments w/ bow and engine compartments common through 2″ x 2″ aluminum tube with drain plug in forward engine compartment. This is a typical jet bow picker used for salmon gillnetting in Prince William Sound, at the bow first mounted to the bulwarks is a hydraulic 24″ power roller with aluminum fair leads and a 12VDC LED spot/ picking light mounted to the top of the fair leads. The power roller has a 2″ net wash system powered by a 2″ Pacer hydraulic seawater pump mounted in the bow compartment with stainless steel thru hull fitting and stainless steel shut off valve. At the starboard forward bulwarks there is a selector valve for the Pacer pump that powers a 1 ¼” deck wash down hose. Next running aft are eight 1O” cleats four each, port and starboard sides.
Next aft port bulwarks is a hydraulic helm, engine controls and hydraulic controls and wash down control w/ plastic access hatch w/ aluminum LPG/ propane storage bottle inside. Amidships on the forward work deck is an aluminum watertight 26″ oval Freeman Marine flush deck hatch accessing the anchor gear, Pacer hydraulic net/ wash down pump, 12VDC seawater wash down pump and 12VDC bilge pump. The self-bailing work deck has 35″ bulwarks w/ two scuppers port and starboard aft, mounted center line is an aluminum net reel driven by a hydraulic drive motor w/ aluminum hydraulic level wind. Going aft is the fish hold w/ four flush aluminum hatch covers. The fish hold capacity is 8,000 lbs of unprocessed seafood, insulated with spray foam coated with a food grade urethane over coating. The fish hold is binned into eight compartments w/ zone plugs, rigged for brailers and has a 12VDC Rule bilge pump with float in sump w/ grated aluminum cover.
The cabin is entered amidships by a watertight aluminum door w/ window that opens outward to the starboard. To the starboard of entry is a settee with galley table with forward bench seating with an 120VAC microwave oven and Espar diesel cabin heater recessed under the starboard settee bench seat. Next aft is an aluminum cabinet w/ stainless steel galley sink recessed into the counter and a Norcold refrigerator/ freezer recessed under the counter. Next aft is an enclosed head w/ electric marine toilet and w/ vanity w/ sink. To the port of entry is the cabin helm w/ adjustable air ride bucket seat, hydraulic steering, engine controls, instruments, gauges, various electronics, 12VDC bilge pump switches and a navigational compass. Next aft recessed into the aluminum cabinet with drawers for storage is a Force-10 2-burner LPG/ propane stove w/ oven and heat shield. Across the back of the cabin is a double lower bunk w/ a single bunk above w/ cushions. Hatches in the cabin sole and under lower bunk access the engine compartment; which contains the main engines, jet units, diesel auxiliary hydraulics, hydraulics, batteries, fuel filters, 12VDC bilge pump and 12VDC bilge high water alarm. The fuel tank is located under the cabin sole forward of the engines w/ fuel filters accessible center line in the engine compartment. The cabin lid is insulated w/ foam and covered in FRP paneling, the interior of the cabin is covered in automotive carpeting w/ aluminum cabinets and wood trim. The cabin has Diamond Sea Glaze aluminum door and aluminum-framed front and side windows, with sliders and bug screens port and starboard sides of the cabin. The aft cabin lid has a 36″ x 54″ engine access hatch for engine removal. There is a folding aluminum pipe mast for running lights, with antennas mounted centerline forward to the cabin lid. Vessel sits on a King 2015 triple axel galvanized steel trailer w/ bunkers while in dry storage.
