VESSEL DESCRIPTION:
The fishing vessel is a typical Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft, fish hold midship, and a self-bailing deck forward. At the bow is a Kinematic hydraulic power roller. Aft, to port, is the forward helm station with controls and hydraulic valves. Aft, off center to starboard, is a gillnet reel with anchor storage, Pacer pump plumbed as a washdown pump and a Baywood deck hatch for access under deck. Aft of the reel is the fish hold, top raised 8” from deck, with an estimated capacity if 7,000 lbs. It is half insulated with 2” rigid foam, rigged for six brailer bags, drained by center sump, and covered by two watertight hatches. Aft of the fish hold is an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum water-tight door at centerline. Under cabin sole is the engine room; which houses the main engine, waterjet, and battery banks.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:
The cabin interior is finished with marine carpet on walls, FRP overhead with teak trim, formica countertops, and linoleum sole. Forward port of cabin is the inside helm station with controls, electronics, and Captain’s chair. Next aft is cabinetry with recessed sink and storage underneath, along with auxiliary engine, hydraulic tank, and battery. Aft is Dickinson diesel cabin heater with oven. Athwartship to starboard are two stacked bunks. Forward bunks on starboard is settee with two facing aluminum bench seats with aluminum table and plastic storage bins organized underneath.
