VESSEL DESCRIPTION:
The fishing vessel is a typical Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft, fishhold midship, and a self-bailing deck forward. At the bow is a Webber Marine power roller. To port is the outside aluminum helms station with engine controls and hydraulic valves. Aft, off center to starboard on work deck is the gillnet reel with anchor locker and space for Pacer pump and propane tank. Aft of the reel is a slightly raised fish hold with three aluminum hatches and rigged for six brailer bags. Aft of the fishhold is an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum water tight door at vessel centerline.
Under deck, the vessel is separated by three bulkheads. The forward two bulkhead create a forepeak that’s accessed by Freeman hatch in deck and drains aft to engine room. Aft of the second bulkhead is the fish hold, accessed by three aluminum diamond plate hatches and drained to center sump. Aft of the third bulkhead is the engine room, accessed through cabin sole. Engine room houses the main engines, waterjets, batteries, hydraulics, and drained by Rule bilge pump.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:
Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight aluminum door. Cabin is finished in marine carpet, FRP overhead with teak trim, and Zolotone painted-over-aluminum on cabinetry and sole. To forward port is helm station with controls, electronics, and DC breaker panels. Aft of helm station and Captain’s seat is cabinet with sink. Aft, athwartship along cabin stern, is two bunk style berths and enclosed head. Forward the head on starboard side is propane stove and cabinetry. Forward that is the settee with counter style table with single bench seat.
