VESSEL DESCRIPTION
The fishing vessel is a typical Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft, flush-deck fishhold midship, and a self-bailing deck forward. At the bow is a Petrzelka Bros. power roller. To port is the outside aluminum helms station with engine controls and hydraulic valves. Aft, off center to starboard, is the aluminum gillnet reel with anchor locker to port, and Pacer pump and propane tank to starboard. Aft of the reel is a jelly fish grate around six flush-deck fish holds with six water tight aluminum hatches. Aft of the fish hold is an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum water tight door at vessel centerline.
Under deck, the vessel is separated by three known bulkheads. The most forward void is without access and drains aft to engine room. The framing and bulkheads are unknown in this void. Aft of the first bulkhead is the forward fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drained to aft fish hold sump. Aft of the second bulkhead is the aft fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drained to center sump. Aft of the third bulkhead is the engine room, accessed through cabin sole. Engine room houses the fuel tank, main engines, waterjets, batteries, hydraulics, and drained by Rule bilge pump.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight aluminum door. Cabin is finished in FRP overhead, marine-carpeted walls, Zolotone painted-over-aluminum on cabinetry and sole. To forward port is helm station with controls, electronics, and D.C. breaker panels. Aft of helm station and Captain’s seat is cabinet with stove and sink. Aft, athwartship along cabin stern, is two stacked bunks and an enclosed head used for storage (toilet has been removed). Forward the head on starboard side is Dickinson cabin heater. Forward that is the dinette; fixed formica-lined table with two facing bench seating, with storage and refrigerator under seat.
