VESSEL DESCRIPTION:
The vessel is a steel, displacement hull with bulbous bow, hard chine and vee bottom. A steel cabin is forward of the aft working deck and a fiberglass wheel house is fastened above cabin. The hull framing of ½” x 3” bar is seen in the forward hold of the vessel. The false floor in engine room and insulated fish holds made framing access difficult at time of survey.
There are four watertight transverse bulkheads of welded steel plate. From bow to stern, the first bulkhead separates fo’s’cle (storage for tools and supplies) and engine room (RSW, two generators and main engine). This bulkhead is the only one with a watertight steel door. The second bulkhead separates the engine room and the forward insulated fish hold. The third bulkhead separates the forward fish hold and the aft insulated fish hold. The fishhold capacity is estimated at 80,000lbs; forward hold 50,000 lbs and aft hold 30,000 lbs. The final bulkhead separates the aft fish hold and the lazarette, which houses the steering ram, rudder post and fresh water tanks and water pump.
The aft working deck is fabricated of welded steel. The deck is separated by a wood bin board and the more forward half has a false deck constructed of pressure treated wood. The hydraulics and machinery are built off the mast, positioned aft of the cabin.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:
Entrance to cabin is through port side, aft door into galley with sinks, stove, and shelves. Forward of galley is three bunks (single to port and bunks to starboard) and forward that is the old wheel house that has been removed (a head is under construction). The cabin walls and ceiling are finished in FRP and cabin sole is painted steel. Wheel house is accessed from a ladder on the stern of cabin, going to wheel house deck, and into wheel house by wood door to starboard. The wheel house has a bunk to aft and driving console forward with one Captains chair to starboard. Access to engine room is from deck, by ladder aft of cabin.
Price: $290,000 *Permit NOT Included*
