GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This vessel is a forty-year old, all fiberglass constructed, U. S. built, fishing vessel, longline rigged (halibut and sablefish). The vessel has a raked stem deep-vee bow, displacement hull, and a square transom aft. This vessel has had extensive upgrades to many systems, AC/DC wiring, interior lighting and a professionally rebuilt 3406 Cat Engine in the last two years. There are back up systems, spare 24 volt alternator and 24 volt starter and a replacement Hynautic steering system if ever needed. In addition this report includes a detailed equipment list with additional fishing gear for long lining in Southeast Alaska. Inside the vessel forward there is cushioned berthing for four persons in the v-berth area (four single bunks), and for two persons in an a enclosed stateroom port side aft (main cabin). From the v-berth, a companion way leads up to the main cabin where the pilot station is located. The main cabin has cushioned seating for four persons; one at the single pilot station, and four at the cushioned dining table. The main cabin has vinyl flooring throughout, with oak veneer paneling, oak trim and a vinyl overhead. The pilot station to starboard, has a complete set of engine gauges, switches, and controls. The AC breaker panel (with reverse polarity alarm) is located at the pilot station. Next to the pilot station, a hatch with ladder leads down into the engine room with stand up headroom. The dining table is on the port side across from the pilot station. The galley is located aft of the pilot station. It has a Dickinson diesel stove with oven, a double s/s sink, and a full size Norcold refrigerator/freezer.
Just aft of the galley is the enclosed head with approved marine toilet and a sink. A lockable weathertight door next to the enclosed head leads aft out onto the spacious work-deck. On both sides of the main cabin a wide walk-around deck leads forward to the foredeck with anchor and hydraulic windlass. There is a second steering station (jog stick) with engine controls at the aft starboard side of the main cabin. At the starboard amidship bulwarks there is an aluminum pot chafing guard. In the center of the work deck is a 25 ton (two compartment) fish hold with watertight hatches. Aft of the fish holds is a third watertight hatch that provides access to the two aft saddle fuel tanks and rudder post. A ladder on the port side of the main cabin leads up to the fly bridge with a third steering station, engine controls and compass, there is cushioned seating for one, and bench seating for six. The survival raft and Epirb are located on the fly bridge.
The vessel is propelled by the original (rebuilt 2022) 1983 3406 Caterpillar, 360 HP, 6-cylinder turbo charged marine diesel engine, connected to a Twin Disc reduction gear, connected to a 3” steel drive shaft, and attached to a three bladed bronze propeller. Average cruise speed is 8 knots. Fuel consumption is estimated at 7 gallons per hour, giving an estimated range of 1100 nautical miles, weather and load conditions permitting.

The vessel is used for commercial fishing on the inside and near coastal waters of Southeast Alaska, and up to 40 nautical miles offshore. Normal personnel aboard is the captain and two crew members; or, as specified by the underwriter.
