VESSEL DESCRIPTION

 

The fishing vessel is a typical Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft, fishhold midship, and a self-bailing deck forward with jelly fish grates. At the bow is a Petrzelka Bros. power roller with storage locker underneath. To port is the outside aluminum helms station with controls, Garmin depth reader, and hydraulic valve bank. Aft on work deck is the gillnet reel and an entry door in bulwark to port. Aft of reel is the flush deck fish hold with six water tight aluminum hatches. Aft of the fish hold is an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum water tight door at centerline.

 

Under deck, the vessel is separated by four full bulkheads and two partials. Forward of the first full bulkhead is an empty void only accessible through a round, bolted inspection hatch in the bulkhead. Aft of the first full bulkhead is two additional partial bulkheads ran athwartship and two additional partial bulkheads ran longitudinally. This void houses the washdown pump and fresh water tank and pump. It is accessed through a Freeman hatch in deck and drained by Rule pump. Aft of the second full bulkhead is the forward fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drained to aft center sump. Aft of the third full bulkhead is the aft fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drained to center sump. Aft of the fourth full bulkhead is the engine room. Engine room houses the main engines, waterjets, auxiliary, batteries, and drained by Rule 2000 bilge pump. Access to the engine room is through cabin sole and bottom bunk.

 

 

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

 

Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight aluminum door. Cabin is finished with aluminum cabinetry, aluminum sole with industrial rugs, aluminum and foam walls, and vinyl overhead with pine trim. To forward port is helm station with controls, electronics, and 12-volt breaker switches. Aft of helm station and Captain’s seat is an aluminum enclosed head. Athwartship along cabin stern, is two bunk-style berths. Forward of berths to starboard is diesel stove with oven, sink, and storage. Forward that is the settee with counter-style aluminum table and single bench seat with storage underneath.
