VESSEL DESCRIPTION
The fishing vessel is a typical Alaskan bowpicker with house aft, fishhold midship and a self-bailing work deck forward. At the bow is a Webber Marine power roller. To aft port on the work deck is a fiberglass steering console with hydraulic valves and engine control. Next aft is a Webber Marine gillnet reel with fiberglass anchor lock and Pacer pump wash down to starboard and a Freeman deck hatch just forward reel. Aft of work deck is a raised, insulated fish hold that is designed for three brailer bags and drains to middle sump.
Under deck, the vessel is separated by five bulkheads: first 4 are full bulkheads and the 5th is a partial bulkhead in engine room. The most forward three bulkheads create void under forward work deck that is accessed by Freeman hatch and acts as storage. Aft of the third bulkhead is the fish hold. Aft of fourth bulkhead is the engine room. Engine room houses the main engine, waterjet, auxiliary engine, batteries, hydraulics, and drained by two bilge pumps. Access to the engine room is through cabin sole and bunk.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight aluminum door. Cabin is finished in vinyl walls and overhead, wood cabinetry with Formica countertops, and linoleum sole. To forward port is helm station with controls, electronics, and 12-volt breaker switches. Aft of helm station and Captain’s seat is a Dickinson diesel cabin heater. Aft, athwartship along cabin stern, are stacked bunks that can be removed to access engine room. Forward the bunks on starboard side is countertop with recessed sink and then a wood counter most forward on starboard.
