VESSEL DESCRIPTION:
The fishing vessel is a typical Alaskan fiberglass bowpicker with house aft, fish hold midship, and a self-bailing deck forward. At the bow is a Petrzelka Bros. hydraulic power roller with storage underneath that is accessed by a plastic hatch. To starboard is the outside fiberglass helms station with engine controls and hydraulic valves. Aft, off center to port is the Petrzelka Brothers gillnet reel with a fiberglass anchor locker and auxiliary engine to port of reel. Aft of the reel is a fiberglass fish hold with top raised 26” from deck level. Aft of the fish hold is a fiberglass cabin, accessed through an aluminum water-tight door at vessel centerline. Under deck, the vessel is separated by seven bulkheads. The most forward two voids are empty with access only by two round inspection hatches located in the second bulkhead. Aft of the second bulkhead is accessed by an oval Freeman hatch and houses the Pacer pump seacock. Aft of the third bulkhead is where the 60-gal. aluminum gasoline tank sits at centerline with a fourth (partial) bulkhead to port and starboard of tank. Aft of the fifth bulkhead are three fish holds that are accessed by one hinged fiberglass hatch and drained by three bilge pumps found in each hold. Aft of the sixth bulkhead is void accessed through cabin sole and houses the two 125-gal. welded aluminum gasoline tanks and water tank. Aft of the seventh bulkhead is the engine room that houses the main engines, waterjets, batteries, hydraulic pumps, and drained by Rule bilge pump.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:
Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight aluminum door. Cabin is finished in wood veneer walls with mahogany trim, vinyl sole, and Formica countertops. To forward starboard is helm station with controls, electronics, and DC breaker panels. Aft of helm station and helm seat is an enclosed rain gear and tool storage.
