VESSEL DESCRIPTION:
The fishing vessel Tin Finn is an Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft and a self-bailing deck forward with six flush-deck fish holds under the main deck. At the bow is a Kinematic hydraulic power roller. Aft, to starboard, is the aluminum forward helm station with controls and hydraulic valves. At centerline, sliding on an aluminum pipe frame, is the gillnet reel that can slide fore or aft to access middle and aft fish holds. The fish holds have an estimated capacity of 11,000 lbs. in the six uninsulated aluminum holds, that is currently designed for slush bags and brailer bag. Aft of the fish hold is an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum sliding door at centerline. Under cabin sole is the engine room; which houses the main engines, fuel tanks, hydraulic pumps and tank, and batteries.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:
The cabin interior is finished with aluminum, painted plywood, and vinyl with Formica-lined counters and table. Forward starboard of cabin is the inside helm station with controls, electronics, and Captain’s chair. Next aft and athwartship to port are two stacked bunks. Forward of the bunks on port side is a galley with a small table, stove with oven, cabinetry with recessed sink and storage underneath, and a countertop table.
