VESSEL DESCRIPTION
The fishing vessel is a modern Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft, flush-decked fish holds midship, and a self-bailing deck forward. At the bow is a hydraulic powered Reynolds bow roller. To port is the outside aluminum helms station with engine controls, hydraulic valves, and propane tank. Aft, off center to starboard on work deck is the gillnet reel with long line reel, both driven off a hydraulic Twister drive; along with an anchor drum that is chain-driven off a hydraulic motor. To port of the reel is a flush deck oval 26” Freeman hatch to access under work deck. Aft of the reel is a jellyfish grate then the flush-deck fish hold. Aft of the fish hold is an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum water tight door at vessel centerline. Under deck, the vessel is separated by six bulkheads; forward three being partials and aft three being full bulkheads. The most forward four create an under-deck void that is accessed by the Freeman hatch on port, aft deck. It houses the Pacer pump and is drained by Rule 1500 automatic bilge pump. Aft of the fourth bulkhead is the forward fish hold, separated into three by two longitudinal bulkheads, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drained by center sump. Aft of the fifth bulkhead is the aft fish hold, separated into three by two longitudinal bulkheads, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drained to center sump. Aft of the sixth bulkhead is the engine room, accessed through cabin sole and bottom bunk. Engine room houses the main engines, waterjets, auxiliary engine, fuel tank, water tank, batteries, and hydraulics; drained by Rule 1500 bilge pump.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight aluminum door. Cabin is finished in FRP and carpet overhead, marine-carpeted walls and sole, and Zolotone-painted aluminum on walls and cabinetry. Forward port is helm station with controls, electronics, and breaker panels. Aft of helm station and Captain’s seat is cabinetry with sink and storage. Aft, athwartship along cabin stern, is two bunk style berths with the top being a cot-style and an enclosed head. Forward the head on starboard side is L-shaped cabinetry with countertop and propane stove/oven. Next forward is settee with countertop table and forward-facing bench seat, with freezer under seat.
