VESSEL DESCRIPTION
The fishing vessel is a very modern Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft, fishhold midship, and a self-bailing deck forward. At the bow is a Webber Marine aluminum power roller with storage underneath. Aft, to port is an aluminum helms station with controls, hydraulic valves, and a plastic hatch that accesses plumbing, wiring, and fire extinguisher. Nearly centerline is the gillnet reel with attached anchor drum. Aft of the reel is an aluminum jellyfish grate, directly forward the six flush-deck aluminum fish holds. Aft of the fish holds is an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum water tight door at vessel centerline.
Under deck, the vessel is separated by five bulkheads. The first bulkhead is partial and is the aft side of the integral 55-gal. welded aluminum water tank welded into the bottom half of bow void. The second bulkhead is partial with large access holes cut out for entry to void, houses Jabsco water pump and Pacer washdown pump, and drains aft. Forward the third (full) bulkhead is void accessed by Freeman hatch in port side deck and drained by Rule 1500 bilge pump. Aft of the third bulkhead is the forward fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drains to aft fish hold sump. Aft of the fourth bulkhead is the aft fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drains to center sump. Aft of the fifth bulkhead is the engine room, which houses the main engines, waterjets, fuel tank, hydraulic system and batteries; accessed by cabin sole and drained by the Rule bilge pump.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight Diamond Sea Glaze aluminum door. Cabin is finished in marine carpet, Zolotone paint and teak veneer walls with team trim, vinyl overhead with teak trim, Formica countertop, teak veneer cabinetry, and “Lonseal” vinyl sole in teak and holly pattern. To forward port is a teak helms station with controls, electronics, and AC & DC breaker switches. Aft of helm station and Captain’s seat is cabinetry with sink, stove, and microwave above. Aft, athwartshipalong cabin stern, are two bunk-style berths and enclosed head. Forward the head on starboard side is propane heater, lagged with heat shield, and forward that is settee with Formica-wood table with two facing benches, seating for two. Under the more aft bench is the refrigerator. Under the more forward bench is storage. Forward and inboard the settee is an enclosed, heated rain gear locker.
