GENERAL VESSEL DESCRIPTION and LAYOUT:
The fishing vessel is a twin-engine gas w/ water jets powered vessel w/ welded aluminum hull. The hull has a raked stem w/ slight vee, hard chine planning bottom. The stern has hydraulic trim tabs mounted port and starboard under the water jet units w/ aluminum pipe guard to protect water jet units mounted to the transom stern. Main cabin is aft, fish hold amidships w/ self- bailing open work deck forward. Vessel is divided into three compartments w/ bow and engine compartments common through 2″x 2″ aluminum tube w/ drain plug in forward engine compartment. This is a typical jet bow picker used for salmon gillnetting in Prince William Sound, at the bow first mounted to the bulwarks is a hydraulic driven power roller w/ aluminum fairleads, 12VDC picking light and net wash/ deck wash down system powered by a 2″ Pacer hydraulic seawater pump mounted in the bow compartment. Next running aft are eight 10″ cleats four each, port and starboard and one amidships aft. The self-bailing work deck has 35″ bulwarks w/ two 4″ scuppers port and starboard aft, to the port is a console w/ hydraulic helm, engine controls and hydraulic controls and wash down control and access hatch into console w/ fiberglass LPG/ propane storage bottle inside. Amidships on the forward work deck is an aluminum watertight 26″ oval Freeman Marine flush deck hatch accessing the anchor gear, bow compartment bilge pump and the Pacer hydraulic net/ wash down pump with stainless steel shut off valve in the bow compartment.
Next aft is a hydraulic driven aluminum net reel w/ aluminum level wind mounted centerline to self bailing deck. Next aft is the fish hold w/ four flush aluminum hatch covers. The fish hold is insulated w/ spray foam and coated w/ food grade urethane coating. The fish hold is binned into six compartments, rigged for six brailers and has 12VDC bilge pump in sump w/ aluminum cover. Next mounted centerline is an hydraulic driven aluminum net reel w/ aluminum stand and hydraulic driven level wind. Next going aft is the fish hold covered w/ four flush aluminum hatch covers. The fish hold capacity is 8,000 lbs of unprocessed seafood, insulated with spray foam coated with a food grade urethane over coating. The fish hold is binned into six compartments, rigged for six brailers and has a 12VDC discharge pump in sump w/ grated aluminum cover.
The cabin is entered amidships by a watertight aluminum door w/ window that opens outward to the starboard. To the starboard of entry is a settee w/ galley table w/ forward facing bench seat and a Norcold refrigerator/ freezer recessed under the bench seat. There is storage and Espar 12VDC forced air diesel cabin heater w/ ducting mounted under the bench seat. Next aft is an aluminum cabinet w/ counter top w/ stainless steel galley sink recessed into the counter w/ microwave oven recessed into cabinetry w/ drawers and storage underneath. Next aft is an enclosed head w/ 12VDC electric marine toilet and stainless sink w/ counter top. To the port of entry is the cabin helm w/ adjustable air ride bucket seat, hydraulic steering, engine controls, instruments, gauges, various electronics, bilge pump switches and a navigational compass. Next aft is an aluminum cabinet w/ counter top w/ a Force-10 2-burner LPG/ propane stove w/ oven w/ heat shield recessed into the cabinet. Across the back of the cabin is a double lower bunk w/ single upper bunk above w/ cushions. Hatches in the cabin sole and under lower bunk access the main engines, jet units, diesel power pack for backup hydraulics, hydraulics, batteries, fuelfilters, 12VDC ventilation blower, gas vapor sensor and 12VDC bilge pump w/ float. The fuel tank is located under the cabin sole, forward of the engines with fuel filters accessible in the engine compartment. The cabin lid is insulated with foam and covered with FRP panel; the interior of the cabin is covered in automotive carpeting with aluminum/ wood cabinets and Formica counter tops. The cabin has Diamond Sea Glaze aluminum door and aluminum-framed front andside windows, with sliders and bug screens port and starboard sides of the cabin. The aft cabin lid has a 36″ x 54″ engine access hatch for easy engine removal. There is a folding aluminum pipe mast for running lights, with antennas and a spot light mounted to the cabin lid. Vessel transported and stored on a King triple axel galvanized steel trailer with bunkers while in dry storage.
