VESSEL DESCRIPTION
The fishing vessel is a very modern Alaskan aluminum bowpicker with house aft, fishhold midship, and a self-bailing deck forward. At the bow is a Petzelka Brothers aluminum power roller with storage underneath. To port is the outside aluminum helm with controls, engine start/stop switches, hydraulic valves, and a plastic hatch that accesses plumbing and wiring. Nearly centerline is the gillnet reel with attached anchor drum. Aft of the reel is an aluminum jellyfish grate, directly forward the six insulated aluminum fish holds. Aft of the fish holds are an aluminum cabin, accessed through an aluminum water tight door.
Under deck, the vessel is separated by four bulkheads. The first two bulkheads create a void under the work deck that houses the Pacer pump and fresh water tank; accessed by Freeman hatch in deck and drained by Rule 2000 bilge pump. Aft of the second bulkhead is the forward fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drains to aft sump. Aft of the third bulkhead is the aft fish hold, accessed by three aluminum hatches and drains to center sump. Aft of the fourth bulkhead is the engine room, which houses the main engines, waterjets, fuel tank, hydraulic tank, and batteries; accessed by cabin sole and drained by the Rule bilge pumps.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Access to the aft cabin is through a watertight aluminum door. Cabin is finished in carpet and teak walls, teak cabinetry, vinyl ceiling, and carpet sole. To forward port is helm station with controls, electronics, and AC & DC breaker switches. Aft of helm station and Captain’s seat is the enclosed head with toilet and shower. Aft, athwartship along cabin stern, are two bunk-style berths. Forward the bunks on starboard side is galley with stove, sink, and cabinetry. Forward that is galley table with a single forward-facing bench.
