VESSEL DESCRIPTION
The fishing vessel is a modern Alaskan aluminum bow picker with house aft, flush deck fish hold midship and a self-bailing work deck forward. The work deck has a Petrzelka Bros. hydraulic power roller at the bow, an aluminum steering console with hydraulic valves aft to port, and gillnet reel at centerline. Aft of the work deck is a 14” aluminum rod jelly fish grate, then the flush deck fish hold. Aft of the fish hold is the cabin.
Under the deck, the vessel is separated by five aluminum bulkheads. Forward the first partial “crash” bulkhead is an incorporated 70-gal. aluminum water tank. The second and third bulkhead create the bow compartment that is accessed by Freeman hatch in work deck, houses the two washdown pumps and fresh water Jabsco pump. Aft of the third bulkhead is the forward fish hold – separated into three holds with two longitudinal aluminum bulkheads, covered by three aluminum hatch covers and drained by aft center sump. Aft of the fourth bulkhead is the aft fish hold – separated into three holds with two longitudinal aluminum bulkheads, covered by three aluminum hatch covers and drained by center sump with valves. Aft of the fifth, and final, bulkhead is the engine room. The engine room houses the aluminum fuel tank most forward, two main engines, transmissions, waterjets, hydraulic system, and batteries.
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION
Access to the cabin is through a watertight, aluminum Diamond Sea Glaze entry door. Cabin is finished in marine carpet on walls, teak veneer cabinetry with trim, teak paneling overhead with teak trim, and Zolotone aluminum helm and cabinetry. To port is the helm station with vessel controls, electronics, shock absorbing seat, and drawers under Captain’s seat. Aft of that is cabinetry with a recessed sink, Dickinson Caribbean stove and cabinetry. Aft, athwartship, are two stacked bunks and an enclosed head with marine toilet, vanity and sink. Forward the head is dinette with fixed wood table and two facing bench seats with storage and refrigerator underneath.
