VESSEL DESCRIPTION
The motor vessel is a Giyah Boat Co. aluminum landing craft constructed with a hydraulic 63” bow ramp at vessel centerline. The ramp is designed for offloading passengers and equipment to shore. Outboard of the ramp are two aluminum storage lockers built to bulwark level on port and starboard sides. The port side with deck helm station. The starboard side with anchor fair lead, electric power windlass, and aluminum anchor locker. The forward work deck is an open, self-bailing deck with hinged cargo door cut into port bulwark and two fish holds under aft deck. Next aft is an enclosed cabin. Aft of cabin is aft deck and then transom extension for outboard mounting.
Under deck, the vessel is supported with four bulkheads. The first bulkhead is a crash bulkhead. The next two bulkheads make up the forward deck compartment, accessed by Freeman deck hatch, and drained by an automatic Rule bilge pump. Next aft is the fish hold, separated into two uninsulated aluminum holds with a longitudinal aluminum bulkhead, set up for oxygen tanks with aluminum tank mounts, and can be drained by a manual Rule pump. Next aft is the machinery compartment under cabin sole with engine bed mounts, water tank, gasoline tank, battery bank, Racor fuel filter, and electric hydraulic pump. A transom extension is welded to stern for mounting outboards, accessed through round plastic hatch and drained by an automatic bilge pump.
The cabin is finished in marine carpet on walls; with formica on sole, overhead, and on cabinetry. Cabin is accessed by watertight entry door at centerline from forward deck and after deck. Most forward, to port, is the helm station with vessel controls and electronics. Next aft is galley with lower cabinetry, refrigerator, and countertop with recessed sink. Most forward, to starboard, are two stacked bunks; top bunk being at day bunk level. Next aft is enclosed head with marine toilet.
