GENERAL AND ARRANGEMENT:
This is a fiberglass hull constructed of apparent good and adequate scantlings by Beck Boats and
finished out by Mantra Marine at Seattle, Washington in 1980. The vessel has one deck, one
mast, curved stem, transom stem, round chine with rolling chocks, cabin forward with flying
bridge, fish hold midships , open work deck aft. Typical seiner design.
The non-skid coated self-bailing aft deck is surrounded by 18″ – 20″ aluminum bulwarks
all-around and contains at port aft a Freeman flush deck aluminum hatch accessing the lazar et,
midships and forward is a 9″ coaming for the 94″ X 94″ fish hold hatch with two section
aluminum covers, to port and starboard are seine davit mounts, midships forward a Kolstrand
double-headed hydraulic warping winch, to midships at the aft cabin bulkhead is the
hydraulic machinery operating station. The side shells are fit with 2″ X 4″ Iron Bark rub rails
to port and starboard. The stem is fit with three vertical 2″ X 4″ UMHU slats for skiff
protection.
The non-skid coated foredeck is accessed by walkways port and starboard of the cabin, is
surrounded by a 2″ “toe rail” with Apitong wood wear caps and contains the anchor, rode and
hydraulic anchor winch.
The flying bridge is accessed by an inclined aluminum ladder from po11 aft and contains a full
width console forward with 9″ high Lexan windscreen, an operating station with helm and
engine controls, VHF & CB radios and is covered with a wood framed and sheeted weather
cover, next aft is a wood framed and sheeted stowage locker with helm seat atop, next aft is an
aluminum tank for the hydraulic system.
The cabin is entered by hinged wood door from starboard aft and contains to starboard aft an
enclosed head with Jabsco marine toilet, next forward is a single berth, next forward the helm
with full engine controls, instruments and various electronics, to port aft is the galley with
countertops and cupboard space, Suburban propane fired three range/oven and double basin
stainless steel sink, next forward is the galley messing table with cushioned fore and aft seating.
Hatches in the cabin sole access the forward machinery spaces and battery locker. The cabin
exterior bulkheads port, starboard and forward are fit with galvanized steel grab rails.
The forepeak is accessed by an open companionway midships forward in the cabin and contains
two tiered single berths to port and starboard.
