The F/V is a stern picker configuration for the drift gillnet fishery. It is a displacement hull of molded fiberglass construction with a raked stem, hard chine, full keel, square stern, recessed self-bailing cockpit aft to port, large insulated fish hold amidships covered by three watertight fiberglass hatch covers (approximate carrying capacity of 12,000 lbs.), and cabin with flying bridge forward.
Access to the cabin is through an aluminum watertight door located starboard side of centerline at the back of the cabin with three step entrance. Starboard side of cabin is galley equipped with a double stainless steel sink, then counter surface, then oil-fired stove; forward of galley is an enclosed head with marine toilet. Port side at aft end of cabin is a bench seat that can serve also as a day bunk, then forward of it is the dinette table, then forward of it is the helmsman station with electronic array and circuit breaker panel with switches identified. On center at the aft end of the cabin is access into the engine compartment. Access into the engine compartment is also obtained through two watertight oval aluminum deck hatches aft of the cabin on deck to port and starboard of centerline. The engine compartment contains the propulsion machinery, hydraulic pump, hydraulic tank, ships batteries, and battery selector switch. The cabin is well equipped with adequate stowage space in pull drawers and lockers. Forward of main cabin is the foc’s’ole containing three V-berths.
The vessel is equipped with an aluminum free standing mast on center aft of the cabin. The mast carries the radar dome, anchor light, fishing light, and assorted antennas.
Fly-bridge contains an additional helmsman, bench seat, and small portable chest freezer. Access to fly-bridge is via a welded aluminum ladder located to port side on back of cabin.
Aft of the fish hold on center is the deck machinery and access into the lazarette through an oval aluminum watertight hatch. Lazarette contains the fuel tanks, steering ram, rudder indicator, and bilge pump on automatic float switch. The transom above deck is fitted with a live roller secured to stern on center.
