The fishing vessel is a 40’ o.a. commercial fishing vessel built of fiberglass reinforced plastic, (FRP), by DELTA MARINE in 1975. It is of conventional house-forward design, with a flybridge /control station, large aft deck and dry fishhold.
Foremost is an anchor roller and hydraulic anchor winch. Side decks run aft around the main cabin, which is a split-level design. Below foredeck is the foc’sle with one large berth, next aft to Starboard is the helm station, next aft is cabinetry, drawers, and an enclosed storage locker. To Port forward is a settee, aft is the galley with diesel oil range and counter/sink on aft bulkhead. On aft bulkhead to Starboard, up three steps is a hinged wood door accessing the main deck which has a large hatch opening to the fish hold covered with aluminum hatches. Next aft is a gillnet reel, to Port a control station, and a power stern roller on the transom. A watertight BAIER hatch accesses the lazarette, providing access to the steering gear and fuel tanks.
Bulwarks are FRP hull extensions with aluminum and UHMW caps, and 1 ¼” aluminum hand rails. On deck behind the house are a steel mast, an aluminum exhaust stack housing and a TYEE deck pump. A ladder leads to the flybridge which has a complete helm station and room for storage containers.
Fish hold is sectioned with stanchions and removable boards. A molded inset surrounding the main engine extends aft into the fish hold. This inset has three removable watertight hatches for access to the engine. A removable cover accesses the shaft and bearings.
Notes
Vessel was inspected on the Sitka municipal tide grid during annual maintenance, and again at ANB Harbor, Sitka. No equipment was operated during this inspection. For purposes of valuation, it is assumed that all uninspected equipment and components are in satisfactory operating condition. The fishing vessel is fully found, owner-maintained in ‘GOOD’ condition, and well equipped for her intended service. Her hull appears to be sound, her engine and running gear are reportedly fully operational, and her electronics inventory is complete. Interior is finished, neatly kept.
Mechanical equipment, including main and auxiliary propulsion equipment were inspected visually where possible, but were not assessed internally or procedurally for operational performance. For detailed mechanical information, a dedicated inspection by a qualified marine mechanic is always recommended.
